Description
Did you know that in this part of the Bolognese Apennines, the ancient “Termini” dating back to 1789 that marked the border between the Grand Duchy of Tuscany and the Papal State are still visible, with the geographical center being the Alpe di Monghidoro? Bruno Paolini, Carlo Augenti and Arnaldo Vitelli have conducted important research on maps from that time and have geolocated and rediscovered a significant number of boundary stones, fascinating artifacts made of sandstone.
This trail intertwines with this invisible line of the ancient border, venturing into the spectacular forests of centuries-old beech trees typical of this area and following the course of the mountains along grassy ridges, with spectacular views. It is a true 360 degree e-bike adventure, requiring good athletic preparation and excellent riding skills, both downhill and uphill.
